Veteran Kannywood actress, Zainab Booth has died Thursday from a brief, but undisclosed ailment.
Her death was announced Friday morning by actor and colleague of the deceased, Ali Nuhu.
“By Allah’s Grace, Haj Zainab Musa Booth has passed away. May Allah have mercy on her soul and make paradise her abode, amen,” Nuhu wrote on Instagram.
He added that “The Jana’iza (funeral) prayers will hold on Friday at her residence.”
The 61-year-old was a popular actress in the Hausa film industry, also known as Kannywood. She was known for playing motherly roles in movies.
She was known for movies such as: Rabuwa (2008), Jarumai (2006) and Jarumai 2 (2006).
