Former Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, yesterday said that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)’s defeat in the recently concluded general elections was only a temporal setback.
Moro, while addressing a crowd of supporters during a reception held in his honour at his Ugbokolo country home, urged members of the party to remain steadfast and strong.
“PDP’s defeat is only a temporary setback. It is a moment that determines for us who is a faithful PDP member and who is not,” he said shortly after a thanksgiving service.
The former minister, who claimed that his party was not defeated by the now governing All Progressives Congress (APC) but by the PDP members who worked against their own interest, assured party faithful at the gathering that it would only be a matter of time for the party to regain its lost glory, having learnt from the past mistakes with giant resolves to move ahead.
