Contrary to an earlier report credited to President Muhammadu Buhari that not all the 36 ministerial nominees would be ministers, the presidency has said that the President will assign portfolios to all his 36 ministers.
Daily Trust report that the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, confirmed this in a telephone interview yesterday.
Buhari was reported to have disclosed during an interview with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Channels Television shortly before he left New Delhi some of the ministers would only sit in the cabinet in order to meet the constitutional provision which stipulates that each state of the federation must have a representative in the cabinet.
