The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday in Lagos state, arrested a former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Nsima Ekere for alleged diversion of N47 billion through NDDC’s registered contractors.
This follows the arrest of the Accountant-General of the Federation.
The spokesperson of the commission, Wilson Uwajaren confirmed it to Channels Television.
Ekere served as NDDC’s Managing Director from 2016 and 2018. He also contested for the gubernatorial seat of Akwa Ibom state under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 elections.
