The Former Governor of Ogun State and Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Ibikunle Amosun has declared his intention to join the 2023 presidential race under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Amosun made his intention known at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre on Thursday in Abuja.
Amosun will contest the APC presidential ticket with Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo; former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige; Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; Minister of State for Education, Chukwiemekea Nwajiuba; former APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole; Governor Mohammed Badaru of Jigawa, and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi, among others.
Amosun is expected to pick up the nomination and expression of interest forms of the APC in a few days’ time.
