Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN),Charles Chukwuma Soludo has unveiled his agenda if elected as the governor in the upcoming gubernatorial election in Anambra State.
He said his agenda for the state will make it one of the fastest-growing economies of the nation.
“The agenda would be hinged on the development of the non-oil sector, industrialization, employment opportunities and wealth creation for the teeming youths,” he said.
Soludo, who is an aspirant to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), made this known when he was hosted by the Member representing Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Dozie Nwankwo at his Enugwu Ukwu country home.
He articulated that if elected into office more effort would be made to leverage the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport to create an economic hub with business clusters to boost the state’s revenue base.
Speaking on a foreseen drop in oil revenue, he disclosed that his administration would focus less on bogus political appointments, but rather encourage youth involvement in productive sectors for economic sustainability and state development.
He, therefore, solicited the support of the party loyalists during the forthcoming primary election ahead of the 6th November 2021 poll scheduled to hold on 23rd June 2021 to enable him clinch the party’s ticket.
