President Muhammadu Buhari will on Wednesday hold a meeting with the seven chairmanship aspirants as part of efforts to ensure a rancour-free convention.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will on Saturday, hold its convention at Eagles Square, Abuja.
Buhari reportedly supporting Senator Abdullahi Adamu, a former Nasarawa State governor to become party chairman but the APC Senate Caucus’ and leaders of the legacy parties that formed APC said to have refused to endorse Adamu .
Meanwhile, there are speculations that the Buhari may have droped his support for Adamu because the legacy parties would not support him.
TOS NEWS gathered that President Buhari may use today’s meeting with chairmanship aspirants either to restate his consensus position or allow an open race for the highest office.
