A few days after governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom escaped assassinating attack that raised dust in the polity last weekend, he met with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday to detail his experience.
Speaking with newsmen after the meeting, he expressed dissatisfaction over the insinuation that the attack on him was stage-managed.
After the attack, polemicists have tagged him as “a man who ran 1.5kilometer without being caught.”
The conversation so far has been, fifteen well armed assailant attacked him on his farm at Tya-mu, along the Makurdi-Gboko Highway, yet, no evidence to prove the incident.
Ortom has since warned those who are making inflammatory statements on the attack, added that, Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gunpowder, and that nobody is in doubt that Nigeria of today is without security.
He further stressed that polemicists should know when to play politics and when to team up to work as a team to salvage the country.
