Bandits have released five male and six female abducted in Kaduna-Abuja attack.
This development comes after a member of the House of Representatives, representing Ede North/ Ede South/Ejigbo/ Egbedore Federal Constituency, Barrister Bamidele Salam protested for the release of the victims bare footed in Abuja last month.
The lawmaker confirmed this via his Twitter handle Saturday evening.
“I just got a confirmation on the release of 11 of the 62 abductees of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack.
“While acknowledging the proactive measures of Mr. President and relevant security agencies on this matter, I pray that the efforts are sustained to free all citizens in captivity,” he wrote.
The bandits had on March 28, 2022, abducted Kaduna-Abuja train passengers, after killing nine passengers, and injuring others.
The victims were released after reaching an agreement with the Federal Government.
