Federal High Court in Abuja has given an order to the Central Bank of Nigeria to freeze some accounts.
This order was given to enable the court carry out findings into some suspicious happenings.
The order included 11 names which are; Belfour Energy & Allied Services; Belfour Oil and Gas Limited with three bank accounts; Albert Austin Ugochukwu with two bank accounts; Kacynaus Reality Nigeria Limited with three bank accounts; Circle Flow Integrated Services and Tasmara Integrated Services.
It was disclosed in two documents that were posted on CBN’s website on Wednesday.
Report has it that the document has a connection with one Oluwatoyosi Suwebat Oladipo who is an Assistant Manager of the CBN.
The motion exparte which had a date of “12th of March” and was filled on the 16th of March and it sought the mandatory order of the court to direct First City Monument Bank Limited to freeze all transactions on accounts and all other bank accounts of the defendants for 180 days until the outcome of the investigation carried out by the CBN.
