Buhari Condoles with Parents, Relations of Ojodu Grammar School Students

President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with parents, relations and friends of Ojodu Grammar School students who lost their lives in an accident on Tuesday, along Isheri Road, Ojodu, in Lagos State.
This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina on Wednesday.
According to Adesina, “President Buhari condoles with Government and people of Lagos State and the authorities of Ojodu Grammar School over the sad and painful loss of the promising lives that were cut short in the tragic incident.
“President Buhari prays that the Almighty God will comfort the grieving parents and relations at this very difficult time, and grant the injured quick recovery.”
According to witnesses, at least 13 school children died on Tuesday in Lagos state, after a truck reportedly suffered a brake failure and rammed into them.
However, Lagos state Police Command in a statement confirmed two people were dead while twelve others were injured.
Meanwhile, government schools around the Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos were shut down on Wednesday by the Lagos state government.
Part of the schools shut are Babs Fafunwa Millennium Junior Grammar School, Ojodu Junior Grammar School, and Ojodu High School, all within the same compound.
Ganiu Lawal, the spokesperson of the Lagos State Ministry of Education, confirmed the closure of the schools on Wednesday.
According to Lawal, the schools have been shut down till the next session.
Before the directive to shut down the schools, parents, guardians and concerned citizens stormed Babs Fafunwa Millennium School, on Wednesday morning, to protest the opening of the school despite the incident.
