President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Mr. Muazu Sambo, from Taraba State, as a minister-designate to replace the former Minister of Power, Sale Mamman, who was sacked in September, along with Sabo Nanono, former Agriculture Minister.
Buhari’s letter, which seeks the confirmation of the nominee was read by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, at the commencement of plenary on Tuesday.
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, September 1,2021, announced a minor cabinet reshuffle that affected four Ministers.
Two of the four were relieved of their appointments while two were redeployed.
Those relieved of their appointment are former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sabo Nanono and that of Power, Sale Mamman.
The redeployed ones are former Minister of Environment, Muhammad Mahmood Abubakar, who now assumes duty as Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development while former Minister of State for Works and Housing, Abubakar Aliyu becomes the Minister of Power.
