President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the removal of all military checkpoints across the nation.
This was made public today by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry of defence, Alhaji Ismail Aliyu while addressing State House correspondents after a meeting between the president and service chiefs, stating that the president directed the security chiefs to liaise with the Police on taking over internal security.
According to Some Nigerians this action may not be in the best interest of the countries citizens who would rather prefer to be stuck in the traffic gridlock caused by the checkpoints than for Boko Haram terrorists to have easy access to the cities.
