President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mohammed Koko, NPA’s Executive Director of Finance and Administration to lead the organization in acting capacity, following the suspension of the Managing Director of the Nigerian Port Authority, Hadiza Bala.
This was revealed in a state house press release signed by Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity), Garba Shehu on Thursday.
TOS News gathered that Bala’s suspension was approved by the President based on the recommendation of Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation to investigate the Management of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA.
The Administrative Panel of Inquiry is to be headed by the Director, Maritime Services of the Ministry with Deputy Director, Legal of the same ministry serving as Secretary.
Other members of the panel will be appointed by the Minister.
Bala previously served as the chief of staff to Nasir el-Rufai, Governor of Kaduna state, from 2015 to 2016.
