The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has said that the return of President Muhammadu Buhari to Nigeria after over 100 days’ medical sojourn in London has doused tension nationwide.
In a statement, yesterday in Abuja, IPAC chairman Mohammad Nalado said Buhari’s return had put to rest the political crisis which wracked the country while he was abroad.
Nalado, who doubles as chairman of Accord Party (AP), expressed optimism that the economic situation in the country would improve with the President’s return.
He urged the President to continue to deliver on his campaign promises, adding that IPAC would continue to work closely with the Federal Government to ensure that democracy was not truncated.
”IPAC being the umbrella of all political parties is poised to advancing the course of Nigeria’s democracy through constructive dialogue and strategic engagements,” he said.
