ASC Geoffrey Longdiem, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the command, has revealed that the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has rearrested 21 inmates who escaped from Jos prisons.
Mr Geoffrey revealed this to reporters on Tuesday.
It was reported that armed men raided the custodial centre on November 28, killed an operative of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) and nine inmates, while 252 inmates escaped during the raid.
Deputy Controller General of NCoS, Mohammed Tukur, in charge of Operations, blamed the attack on the insufficiency of modern equipment and other gadgets.
Mr Geoffrey said that the Service had in collaboration with other security agencies are working carefully to arrest the remaining inmates.
According to him, some of the inmates returned voluntarily.
