
A High Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under the ruling of Justice A.O. Adeyemi Ajayi has remanded the suspended Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris and other defendants in the matter in prison custody over his alleged illegal diversion of public funds to the tune of N109.4 billion.
He was arraigned on Friday on a 14-count bordering on conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, and money laundering.
Justice Ajayi said they will remain in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Service till Wednesday when their trial will resume and bail applications would be heard.
