Super Eagles Stars, Tyronne Ebuehi and Samuel Kalu will be sidelined in Nigeria’s 2022 World Cup qualifier match against Cape Verde on Tuesday (today) after the duo contracted COVID-19.
The players were left out of the squad to face Blue Sharks after being tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
Eduechi was expected to replace Ola Aina at right-back, while Kalu was selected to take Kelechi Iheanacho’s role in the team for the encounter.
TOS NEWS gathered that both players were isolating in Lagos and will undergo another PCR test in the coming days.
The match against Cape Verde would have been Ebuehi’s 11th caps for the Eagles, while it would have been kalu’s 13th caps.
