141 new cases of the novel coronavirus was recorded on Wednesday across 11 states in Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory. This is according to data released on Thursday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Again, for third consecutive time, the agency did not report any fresh covid-19 related death.
The breakdown of the data showed that Lagos registered the highest number of new infections with 46 cases followed by Benue – 44, FCT – 15, Katsina -12, Bauchi – 9, Kano – 4, Delta – 3, Enugu – 2, Kwara – 2, Rivers – 2, Gombe – 1 and Plateau – 1.
The NCDC said the 141 new infections raised the number of Covid-19 cases to 213,818.
According to the disease centre, with no additional Covid-19 related death reported, the death toll from the virus remains 2, 974,.
The agency added that 207, 016 COVID-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged.
