The Nigeria Centre for Disease control in its update on COVID-19 posted on its official Facebook page on Wednesday, reported 99 new cases from the disease, with one fatality across 9 states and the FCT.
The breakdown of the newly confirmed cases from the virus showed that Bauchi state topped the chart with 24 cases followed by Plateau – 24, FCT – 22, Lagos – 9, Taraba.
Also Kaduna state registered 8 cases, Edo 4, Kano 3, Bayelsa 3, and Rivers 1.
According to the NCDC, the 99 new infections raised Nigeria’s confirmed cases to 212,150, while the death toll from the virus now stands at 2,899.
However, 203,524 COVID-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged , the agency said.
It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
