According to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control via its Facebook page late Tuesday night, Nigeria registered 107 new cases of the coronavirus disease across seven states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The NCDC added that the fatality toll is now 2,980 while total confirmed cases has increased to 214,896.
It added that a total of 207,495 people have been treated and discharged.
The agency added that Delta and Enugu States reported a backlog of cases for December 6, 2021.
The breakdown of the latest data showed that the FCT topped the chart with 38 cases, followed by Oyo State with 21 cases.
Rivers, Edo and Delta reported 17, 13 and seven cases respectively.
While Enugu and Zamfara recorded 4 cases each, Plateau State reported 3 cases.
