Following the 55 new cases reported in 6 States on Sunday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 167 fresh COVID-19 infections without fatalities across eight states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Monday.
This was revealed by the national public health institute on its Facebook page on Monday night.
While the agency’s reported that the infection toll has increased to 214,789, and fatality toll from the disease still stands at 2,980, it said the trio of Kaduna, Abia and Delta states reported a backlog of cases for December 5, 2021.
It said Kaduna State also reported a backlog of 10 discharged cases for the same time.
The NCDC’s data disclosed that Lagos State, the epicentre of the disease, recorded 113 cases.
The FCT-22, Plateau-19,Kano -4, Abia, Kaduna and Rivers reported 3 cases each.
