The Nigerian Center for Disease Control in an update posted on its official website on Tuesday disclosed that the country recorded 21 Covid-19 related deaths with 387 new cases across 15 states and the FCT.
According to the NCDC, Nigeria’s economic nerve center and covd-19 epicenter Lagos State recorded the highest number of new infections with 114 infections, followed by Rivers with 91 cases.
FCT reported 32 new cases while Edo recorded 31, Delta 28, Kwara 20, Bayelsa 18, Akwa Ibom 15, Oyo 10, Osun 8, Gombe 5, Plateau 5, Ekiti 4, Ogun 3, Kano 2 and Kaduna had the lowest record with 1 case.
With the 387 new COVID-19 infections, Nigeria’s total infections toll now stands at 199, 538 while the fatality toll now stands at 2,619.
However, 188,427 patients have recovered and have been discharged in the country, the agency said.
