The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily covid-19 update published late on Wednesday revealed that Nigeria recorded 28 fresh cases of the coronavirus infections across four states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The update released by the health agency revealed that the newly confirmed cases raised the country’s total infection toll to 254,598.
The NCDC stated that Nigeria’s death toll still stands at 3,142, as no fatality was recorded on Wednesday.
The NCDC stated that Lagos State topped the chart with 18 cases, adding that 11 of those cases were backlog for March 1, 2022.
The NCDC also disclosed that with backlog of 36 community discharges reported from the FCT, a total of 249,138 have now been discharged nationwide.
According to the breakdown of the data, Kano State registered 4 cases, followed by the FCT with three infections. Rivers State reported two cases while Kaduna State came last on the log with a single case.
