Dana Air has commended the efforts of young Nigerian pilots. The Nigerian carrier said it has decorated new captains on its Boeing 737 aircraft and other aircraft in its fleet.
It also assured members of its staff that it will continue to reward excellence and hard work.
Those who led the event were adorned Captain Shina Agbelese and Captain Ademola Akinyemi in Lagos and the Chief Operating Officer of Dana Air, Obi Mbanuzuo.
Mbanuzuo stated that over 80% of pilots in Dana were trained by the airline and affirmed that the company will continue to lead in building capacity for homegrown pilots.
While the CEO congratulated the newly decorated captains for their success and advised them to sustain the airline’s strict safety standards and professionalism, the airline also revealed that the pilots, cabin crew and ground staff have concluded their vaccination. In his words, “We are glad to be making a huge impact in this regard and contributing our quota to the growth and stability of the industry”.
