New report has emerged regarding the case of former Davido Worldwide Music (DMW) artiste, Lil Frosh, who was accused of physically abusing his ex-girlfriend, Okeoghene Iyomatrie.
The rap musician real name is Sanni Wasiu Goriola was docked on Tuesday, February 9, while appearing before Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun of the Lagos state magistrate’s court in Yaba.
It was also reported that the singer had no counsel to represent him in court and pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
Lil Frosh’s ordeal started in October 2020 after his girlfriend’s manager, Michael, called the rapper out on social media and accused him of mistreating the young lady. This was followed by the girl in question also taking to Instagram to share her side of the story and the horrible treatments she allegedly received from the singer during the period of 10 months that they dated. Pictures of the lady’s swollen face surfaced in the online community and many Nigerians called out the music star who had barely just started his career in the entertainment industry. Similarly, his boss at the time, Davido, was forced to terminate his contract with DMW; stating that the record label does not condone any form of domestic violence against women.
Just some days ago, Zinoleesky a close friend to the suspect was reported to have cried out for his release in a post shared on his Instastory channel. Zinoleesky called for the rapper to be released following reports that he was detained at the police station after showing up for questioning in connection to the allegations against him.
