The All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have been engaging in verbal war in the political firmament of Edo State after the Edo State Government on Tuesday, demolished a property belonging to the immediate past deputy governor of the state, Dr. Pius Odubu and other chieftains of the APC.
Publicity Secretary of the APC in Edo, Chris Azebamwan, in a reaction to the demolition has fingered Governor Obaseki for playing ostrich in the state by approving the demolished buildings and plots’ Certificates of Occupancy (C of Os), as Chairman of the Economic Team in Oshiomhole’s government for almost eight years.
However, Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chris Nehikhare, on Friday has accused APC leaders of mindless, reckless and absurd allocation and conversion of government property and assets to private use by the administration of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
Edo State Government on Tuesday evening, demolished a property belonging to the immediate past deputy governor of the state, Dr. Pius Odubu.
Also demolished were properties belonging to a member of House of Representatives representing Owan Federal Constituency of the state, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere; and that of the owner of Sports Marketing Outfit, Pamozi, Mr. Mike Etamuagbon.
The properties demolished were all situated at the Government Reservation Areas (GRA) within the state capital, Benin City.
