EFCC arrests ex-Bauchi SSG, 2 others over Diezani’s N23bn campaign slush fund

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, in it vigorous pursuit of the beneficiaries of N23 billion campaign slush fund, has arrested a former secretary to Bauchi state government, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim, former Personal Assistant to Mallam Isa Yuguda, Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed Isa, and Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Salisu Garba.

They were arrested and interrogated in Gombe on Monday in connection with N500million naira allegedly sent to Bauchi state from the campaign slush fund ran by the former Petroleum Minister, Mrs Allison Madueke.

The suspects, in their statements, said the 500million naira cash was distributed in the Ramat hall of the government house of Bauchi state.

The former secretary to the government and the secretary of PDP admitted collecting 20million naira each and the former personal assistant collected 15million respectively.
