Former senate president of Nigeria, Bukola Saraki on Thursday called on Nigerians to pray for the nation. He urged Nigerians to play their roles in ensuring peace and order in the country.
He made this known in his Eid al-Fitr message where he congratulated Muslims in Nigeria for successfully completing the year’s Ramadan fast.
The former Governor of Kwara State noted that the current insecurity across Nigeria needs urgent action and continued prayers. However, he commended the bravery of servicemen and women on the frontlines who are fighting to keep citizens safe.
Saraki asked Nigerians to unite and demonstrate the patriotic zeal that will help the country overcome its present challenges.
He finally prayed to the Almighty to free Nigeria from insurgents and terrorists.
“As we move forward, I pray that Almighty God heals our land from all afflictions, grants us victory against insurgents and terrorists; and blesses, guides, and protects our nation, its leaders, and all its citizens,” he said.
