Euro Lpg BV Holland to Build Gas Plants in Kogi State
Euro LPG BV Holland- an international company specialised in the engineering, manufacturing and supply of Liquified Petroleum Gas, Liquified Natural Gas and Industrial Gases and its related equipment for storage and transport, has shown interest in the establishment of gas plants in Kogi State.
This was disclosed by the chairman of the company, Dr. Wahaab Abdullah on Saturday while on a visit to the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.
It was also contained in a statement by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onogwu Muhammed on Monday.
The statement stated that, “Dr. Wahaab said their choice of Kogi State was largely due to the location of the state which shares boundaries with other 10 states in Nigeria as well as the current peace and security prevalent in the state, adding he was confident such would boost their investment in the state.
“While commending the governor for guaranteeing peace and security in the state, Dr. Wahaab stated that the investment in gas plants will lead to job creation, green energy solutions, a clean environment and wealth creation for the people of the state and Nigeria in general.
“Speaking on the size of the plant, Dr. Wahaab said it will involve retail distribution and end-consumer equipment, noting that with a full range of capabilities, the company can provide custom-designed constructions for the gas industry, according to the highest quality and safety standards. The company will also establish an academic for manpower training as well as youths empowerment.”
The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello also stated that Kogi state was feasible for investors to come in; adding that insecurity which was a hindrance to the state’s industrial development was now a thing of the past.
He assured the delegation of his government’s total commitment and partnership with the company. He added that his state has viable manpower the company may require and also advocate training of the youths in plant construction and fabrication.
Dr. Wahaab in his visit to the Governor, was accompanied by Dr. DIG D. O. Folawiyo MNI; Dr. Val Igonowari, representative of AVM Nigeria and Engr Joyce Adams of Autolady Nigeria.
