The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has released former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako. The 73-year-old former governor was released at about 7pm last night.
Nyako turned himself in to the commission on Monday after returning from a self-imposed exile at the weekend.
EFCC spokesman Mr. Wilson Uwujaren said Nyako was released on administrative bail because of his age and health condition. He, however, stated that Nyako has been asked to report to the commission frequently until investigations into the case is concluded. The anti-graft agency is investigating Nyako over alleged diversion of N15bn state funds
