Former military governor of Ondo and Oyo, Col, Ahmed Usman has died at the age of 70.
TOS News gathered that the former military administrator passed away yesterday night in Jos, Plateau state and preparation is going on to bring his remains to his country home in Okura, Dekin, Kogi State.
Ahmed Usman was born in 1951. He served as Second in Command, 192 Battalion, Abak and 141 Battalion, Kano (1983–1985), United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon(1985–1986) and Battalion Commander G Amphibious, Elele Port Harcourt (1990–1991).
He was appointed governor of Ondo State in September 1994.
In August 1996, Usman was redeployed to Oyo state by the Sani Abacha led junta.
