Nigeria forward, Desire Oparanozie, has promised that the Super Falcons will put in a strong performance at the Canada 2015 Women’s World Cup.
Nigeria are drawn in Group D alongside two-time champions USA, Australia and Sweden in the June 6-July 5 tournament.
The Falcons will open their Canada 2015 finals against Sweden at Winnipeg Stadium in Winnipeg on June 8.
But Oparanozie, who plays for French outfit En Avant Guingamp, said that the national team must prepare well for the competition.
The forward scored a brace in Friday’s 8-0 hammering of Mali 8-0 in Abuja to qualify for the 2015 All Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo.
She said on Monday, “Nigerians should expect nothing short of a great performance from us at the World Cup.
“Though we still have a lot more work to do on the team, but we will not let Nigerians down.”
Oparanozie, who won the Namibia 2014 African Women’s Championship Golden Boot with five goals, also she was not satisfied with the team’s performance against Mali on Friday.
