The Minister of Information and Culture has felicitated two Nigerian afrobeat stars, Damini Ogulu, otherwise known as Burna Boy and Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid over The Grammy Award on Sunday.
The minister who in a statement signed by Special Assistant to the President (Media) office of the Minister of Information and Culture said on Monday that the award is a global endorsement for Nigerian.
The Minister described the much-deserved awards as fitting reward for the persistent hardwork of the duo.
Alhaji Mohammed expressed the hope that the clinching of the prestigious awards by the two music stars would not only spur them to greater heights, but would also serve as a source of inspiration for others.
TOS News had earlier reported on Sunday that, Nigerian singer, Burna Boy won the “Best Global Music Album” at the 2021 Grammys for ‘Twice As Tall’ his 2020 project while Wizkid, won at the Grammy for his role in ‘Brown Skin Girl’, a 2019 song by Beyonce, American singer.
