FG promises it will continue to administer Covid-19 Vaccines

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment that it will continue to administer the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines to individuals starting with frontline health workers.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Head of Public Relations Unit of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Mohammad Ohitoto, in Abuja.

According to the statement, the AstraZeneca has been “76 percent effective in preventing coronavirus diseases and 100 percent effective at preventing severe disease and hospitalization”

It further stated: “The NPHCDA’s priority is the health and safety of the Nigerian people, and our decisions and advice are guided by best practice and scientific evidence. We are confident in AstraZeneca’s ability to save lives. Vaccines save lives!”
