Africa will have four representatives in the second round of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, as Nigeria, Ghana, Mali and Senegal have all qualified.
The Flying Eagles defeated Hungary 2-0 on Sunday morning, to finish in second place behind four-time champions Brazil and will play Germany in the round of 16 on Thursday.
Ghana, however, finished top of Group B ahead of Austria, while six-time winners Argentina were dumped out of the tournament. The Black Satellites will now play fellow West Africans Mali in the next round. The game comes up in Wellington on June 10.
Senegal, who lost in the final of the African championship to Nigeria, ended up third in Group C behind Portugal and Colombia, qualifying as one of the best third-placed teams. They will face Ukraine in Auckland on June 10.
