Barcelona football club has announced their second signing of the summer on Tuesday with Eric Garcia returning to the club on a free transfer.
Center-back Garcia returns home after three years at Manchester City and will officially become a Barcelona player on July 1 when his contract with Manchester City expires.
Garcia follows former Manchester City team-mate, Sergio Aguero in making the switch to the Camp Nou and will sign a five-year contract with the Citizens.
The 20-year-old will sign a contract until the end of the 2025/26 season and with a buyout clause set at 400m euros (£344m).
Garcia, who graduated from Barcelona’s La Masia academy before joining City in 2017, rejected the offer of a new contract at the Premier League champions last summer.
Barcelona had previously seen a bid of £15.4m rejected by City in October 2020 with the club wanting closer to £20m for the defender.
