Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has advised his predecessor, Chief Timipre Sylva, to forget his quest to return to the Government House in 2016. This was as he described Sylva’s first term as Bayelsa governor as the darkest days in the history of the state.
The governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson, urged the former governor, who is a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, to consider his ambition as an illusion, “because people of Bayelsa now know better.”
Dickson, stated this in reaction to comments credited to Sylva, who accused him of governing through “intimidation and fear.”
According to the Governor, “Sylva’s remarks epitomized those of a man, who has lost focus and not in touch with the realities on ground.
