A non-governmental organisation, Samuel Adeoti Foundation, as part of its humanitarian strides has donated 20 raincoats to the traffic section of the Nigeria Police, New Oko-Oba Division, Abule Egba, Lagos State.
President and Founder of the foundation, Adeoti Sunday Samuel who led other top officials of the organisation to make the donation on Monday said, the donation was born out of a passion to aid the great works police officers who are always outside, especially in the raining season to ensure that there is law and order on the road.
“This is our own little contribution to reduce the plight you are facing, to ensure that your job get done the way it should be done, and most importantly, to encourage you that you are not forgotten.
“By God’s grace, this will not be one-off; our major goal is to ensure that our society becomes better and we will do everything within our power to ensure that we partner with the security personnel to achieving this goal,” Adeoti said.
Divisional Transport Officer, Pius Ayodele who received the raincoats on behalf of the Divisional Police Officer, Lewis Suliman described the act as a significant one, nothing that the division was grateful because the raincoats will undoubtedly aid the officers to do their works diligently during the raining season.
“This was significant because we see an organisation that thinks about us. There are so many organisations with the millions and billions that don’t think about us.
“On behalf of the DPO, I expressed our profound gratitude for this commendable efforts. We pray that Almighty God will continue to increase you and your team on every side,” he said.
