Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido has condemned the All Progressives Congress for its penchant in making excuses for its inability to implement its campaign promises when it had not even taken over power.
He stated this while commissioning the N302 million Jigawa State Independent Electoral Commission (JSIEC) office in Dutse.
“We heard them asking Nigerians for patience on their inability to implement their electoral promises even before assuming office. They also said that they can’t achieve everything overnight and that everything should be done gradually. Which gradually? Is it now that they know that everything should be gradual?
According to Lamido the out-going government turned Nigeria into a new world; Jigawa State in particular but because of selfish interests the opposition kept sabotaging, blackmailing and intimidating the out-going government.
However, he said that he had no regrets leaving office after two terms. He asked the people of the state to thank God for giving them a trustworthy and honest leader who had transformed the state to the envy of all.
He stressed that he was not afraid of being probed by the incoming administration, adding that posterity would judge his good deeds aright.
