
American multinational technology company, Google, on Monday, turned 23 and celebrated the occasion with a special Google Doodle of a chocolate cake on its homepage.
The animated doodle features a cake with “23” written on top of it, with a birthday candle indicating “L” in “Google”.
A Google Doodle is a special, temporary alteration of the logo on Google’s homepages intended to commemorate holidays, events, achievements, and notable historical figures of particular countries. It is known for its vibrancy and inventiveness.
The US-based company specialises in Internet-related services and products, which include an eponymous search engine, online advertising technologies and cloud computing.
It was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in September 1998, as part of a PhD project.
Google Search, its most popular product, has become the most used search engine on the web.
Other products from Google include Chrome, Gmail, Meet, PlayStore, Maps, YouTube, Photos, Docs, Excel, and a host of many others.
Taking to its verified Twitter page, Google Doodle says, “Happy 23rd Birthday, @Google!”
