
Nigerian gospel singer Chinedu Nwadike has died after a protracted battle with blood cancer.
The 39-year-old gospel singer died in Abuja on Sunday afternoon at the National hospital Abuja after several days of illness.
It was gathered that Nwadike recovered from kidney disease and was expected to be transferred to India for treatment of the blood cancer.
A few weeks before his death, a video of Chinedu Nwadike soliciting financial assistance from prominent Nigerians to pay his medical bills surfaced online.
Confirming his death, his friend and President of Darlington Ibekwe Organisation, Darlington Chidera Ibekwe, took to Facebook few hours after his death, to reveal that the singer is dead with a picture of him and the singer.
Some of his hit tracks include God of Vengeance, AFO Ngozi’m, Marry Me, I do.
Nwadike was a dancer with Gozie Okeke in almost every gospel music dance
