
Supply chain and transportation problems, as well as rise in energy, food and commodity prices have accelerated global inflation in the second quarter of 2022. According to the Nigeria Bureau of Statistics, Nigeria’s inflation rose to 16.82% in April, 2022.
This phenomenon of high inflation is occurring globally, leading to political unrest in Nigeria, Ghana, Sri Lanka, and the United Kingdom, just to name a few.
