The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Kaduna State Office has launched an anti-corruption club in Usra Academy, Kaduna with an appeal to the students to neglect social vices including exam malpractices, drug abuse, and cultism.
This was revealed in a post by ICPC on its verified Facebook account on Tuesday 7th December, 2021.
Mr. Abubakar Shinkafi, a Public Enlightenment & Education Officer of the Commission, speaking during the inauguration, urged the students to help in the fight against corruption by joining the anti-corruption club in their school.
He stated that members of the anti-corruption club should be strong enough to report and stand against any teacher or adult who demands sex or money from students in exchange for academic grades.
He affirmed that the Commission would give proper protection to members of the club against oppression from teachers, school management, or fellow students.
The proprietress of Usra Academy, Mrs. Halimatu Sadiya Abdullahi, in her remark expressed gratitude to the Commission for the super platform of indulging students in the fight against corruption by instilling morals in the lives of their lives.
