
At Umucheke Hall, Amaifeke, Orlu local government area, the country home of the former state governor, Chief Achike Udenwa, experienced hiccups.
The card reader was malfunctioning and the exercise was eventually put on hold, while the voters were expecting INEC to replace the malfunctioning machines. The story was the same at Power Line Primary School, Omuma, Oru East local council area.
As at the time Vanguard left the area, accreditation was yet to begin, especially as INEC says there would be no manual accreditation during the current exercise.
Voting started at Umuduruoma booth 006, Ikeduru local council area when Vanguard arrived the community. There was however an uproar when an All Progressives Congress, APC, stalwart simply called Shavon, came to the polling booth. The people protested, especially as the man is not a native of the area and ought to have respected the movement restriction order. It was however not clear where the Shavon was visiting from that polling booth and what he was out to accomplish by the act.
