JUST IN: Gunmen abduct Senator Ishaku Abbo’s nursing step-mother, kill uncle

Report reaching TOS TV, disclosed that gunmen have killed an uncle to Ishaku Abbo, the Senator seen recently in a viral video assaulting a pregnant woman.

The gunmen were also said to have abducted Mr. Abbo’s nursing stepmother, during an attack in his home State of Adamawa, on Saturday, July 13.

Police and locals said that the attack occurred in Muchalla ward, in Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State, around 1pm.

The Lawmaker’s stepmother gave birth about 11 days ago, family and friends revealed.

According to the report, one witness who spoke to Journalists, said that the gunmen on arriving the area, “went straight to Senator Ishaku Abbo’s family house, and abducted the Senator’s nursing stepmother, who delivered about 11 days ago.”

“As they made their way with the victim, Abbo’s uncle came out of his room, and on sighting the gunmen, raised alarm.

“Immediately, the gunmen opened fire on him, leading to his death, and they went away with the victim unchallenged. Right now the village is in mourning”, the witness said.

The Adamawa State Police Spokesman, Sulaiman Nguroje, who also confirmed the incident, said that the Police have been deployed and are currently on the trail of the assailants.

“Our men from the IG rapid response team, in conjunction with men from Anti-Kidnapping Unit, as well as men from Homicide Unit, have been deployed, in order to rescue (the victim) and arrest the suspects”, he said.

Recall, that abduction and killing of Nigerians have intensified in some parts of Nigeria, in recent weeks, despite the government’s assurances to provide adequate security.

The development is coming barely 24-hours after the daughter of a top Official of the Yoruba Socio-Cultural group, Afenifere, was killed by armed herders, allegedly, along the Ore axis of Ondo State.
