The Kano State Government has approved the renaming of Kano State University of Science and Technology, Wudil, to Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil.
The State Executive Council approved the renaming at its last meeting chaired by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
This was contained in a statement by the state Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba on Sunday.
The development followed recommendation by the university’s visitation panel. The statement explained that the approval has been transmitted to the state House of Assembly to study the relevant laws establishing the university for amendment.
