Political differences between Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, representing Abia South Senatorial District, and his erstwhile boss, Senator Orji Uzor Karlu, representing Abia North Senatorial District seems to have taken another dimension.
This is coming in a statement in which Abaribe painted Karlu as a man who is still in gutter in response to the latter, who at Aba North Ward 1 during his campaign for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mascot Uzor Kalu, for the Aba North/South Federal Constituency by-election said that he picked him from the gutters to become deputy governor.
Abaribe had also expressed worries on why Karlu remains in the gutters if he picked him there.
While speaking during the campaign, the former governor said that Abaribe was impudent, adding that, he has nothing to show for the sixteen years he had represented Abia South at the National Assembly.
“He is busy speaking English as if English Language is what we need. We need infrastructure, good roads, schools and hospitals.
“In Abia North, I have given them 19 roads, renovated schools, built hospitals with a lot of empowerment in just a year at the Senate. Abaribe is so shameless that he doesn’t even have a road leading to his village in Umuekwensu. It is a big shame,” he said
Abaribe, afterward has scolded Karlu, that, he is not expected to be worried for not doing anything where he got his mandate.
“If I am doing nothing at the Senate, my people should worry, not him. There is no need going into all that with him. I cannot come down to his level and responding to him is like bringing myself to his level.”
