Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, noted that existing peace and unity in the Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has shown that the party was prepared to regain power in the next general elections.
Saraki said this in Ilorin on Tuesday following PDP local government congress and membership e-Registration exercise at his Ajikobi Ward, in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State.
He stressed that PDP was the only political party that is united and peaceful in the state.
Saraki said, “Let us all go and prepare for the 2023 elections. It is clear that the PDP government is what people want. We’re committed and it is left for us to go all out and sell a message of hope to our people.
“The PDP is the only party in the state that’s united and peaceful. For the progress of the state, it’s the PDP. We are ready to provide leadership come 2023.”
The former governor of Kwara state said that the party has more leadership positions available for women and youths.
Speaking on the e-registration, Saraki described the process as transparent and capable of reducing sharp practices, adding that the PDP has the most modern database for all its members.
