A London-based studio, Heatherwick, has designed an electric car called Airo, which will not cause air pollution but also reduce it.
While unveiling the car, Founder of Heatherwick, Thomas Heatherwick said the key is a filtering system which will suck in pollutants choking the air and contributing to health issues and global warming.
TOS News gathered that the car is expected to go into production in 2023.
“Airo isn’t simply another electric car that doesn’t pollute the air.
“Instead, using the latest HEPA-filter technology, it goes further by also vacuuming-up pollutants from other cars as it drives along,” Thomas Heatherwick.
The London-based studio is well known for redesigning the UK’s capital iconic buses, introduced in the city’s streets in 2012 with a design incorporating more environment-friendly features while remaining faithful to the original aesthetic.
